Hammond is a Mediterranean Regional Analyst and Subject Matter Expert whose research interests include examining the interdependence between national, human, and environmental forms of security. He earned a M.A. degree in Mediterranean Security Studies from the University of Malta, a M.S. degree in Conflict Analysis and Resolution from George Mason University, and a B.A. degree in Communication and Culture Studies from Michigan Technological University.
