Her research focuses on revolution, democratization, and foreign policy with an area studies emphasis on the Middle East and North Africa. She co-directed a field research study during the summer of 2014 in Tunisia that investigated Tunisia’s foreign policy after the Arab spring uprisings and the evolving role that state and non-state actors play in foreign policy formulation after the revolution. She also serves as the associate editor on the Journal of Critical Scholarship in Higher Education and Student Affairs and she has three published articles appearing in the Georgetown Public Policy Review.
