She worked in Clinical Research in the US till 2003 when she was appointed Commissioner for Health for Ogun State of Nigeria. A post she served until she resigned to contest for the Senator representing her district in the National Assembly. Dr Obasanjo was a Senator in Nigeria from 2007 to 2011 and is currently a Senior Fellow in the Advanced Leadership Initiative at Harvard University.
