A procurement officer trying to budget an enterprise AI agent rollout across eight major platforms will find no single comparable metric available on any of them.
Opening tabs for OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Microsoft (NASDAQ: MSFT), xAI, Meta (NASDAQ: META), ServiceNow, and Salesforce reveals a landscape of quote-gated portals, usage meters, and third-party estimates.
Four of the eight platforms publish no public enterprise-agent price whatsoever on their own surfaces, making direct comparison functionally impossible from the outset.
OpenAI’s Presence product lists no price on its product page, is not self-serve, is limited to eligible enterprise customers, and routes all buyers to contact sales or an account team.
Meta’s Business Agent announcement states that getting started is free and that paid subscription offerings are planned, but publishes no seat or subscription price for enterprise customers.
The one Meta number that does exist is $2.00 per one million tokens for Business Agent replies on the WhatsApp Business Platform, effective August 1, translating to roughly four to five cents per message.
ServiceNow’s AI agents page carries only a “Contact us for a quote” call to action, with third-party estimates placing ITSM at $70 to $200-plus per fulfiller per month, figures ServiceNow itself has never confirmed.
Google (NASDAQ: GOOG) Gemini Enterprise surfaces no per-seat dollar rate officially, and the $21-to-$60 range in circulation is third-party reported US list pricing that Google has never confirmed on any current page.
The two vendors that do publish prices hand buyers units that cannot be lined up against each other in any straightforward way.
Microsoft Copilot Studio sells a capacity pack of 25,000 Copilot Credits at $200.00 per month off a published rate card, alongside a pay-as-you-go meter through Azure, and a message no longer maps to a flat price.
Salesforce Agentforce publishes Flex Credits at $500 per 100,000 credits, with each Agentforce action drawing 20 credits, alongside a $5 per-user license, a $125 add-on, a $150 industry add-on, and a $50 Coworker license.
Salesforce also shows $2 per conversation on its pricing page, but that card now reads “For existing Agentforce Conversations customers. Contact your Account Executive for more information.”
Credits, conversations, actions, and seats do not convert into one another, which is why even two vendors with honest rate cards still cannot be ranked against each other from public information alone.
Anthropic’s Enterprise plan lists $20 per seat per month billed annually, though usage is not included, with Claude chat, Claude Code, and Cowork billed separately at standard API rates.
xAI publishes no enterprise rate card, though its standard API pricing is public at $2.00 input and $6.00 output per million tokens for grok-4.7, while its deployment costs remain undisclosed.
On December 1, 2026, Microsoft changes three things simultaneously, per its Partner Center October announcements, which carry metadata showing a last update of October 14.
New Microsoft 365 Copilot and Copilot Business offers can be bought without a qualifying Microsoft 365 base subscription across all channels, priced the same as current offers on new product and SKU IDs.
Usage-based billing becomes the default billing configuration for new Microsoft 365 Copilot Business subscriptions bought through CSP on that date, with an adjustable default spending limit of 4,000 Copilot Credits per user per month pre-set.
Microsoft’s own example illustrates 100 users consuming up to 400,000 credits per month, while core per-user Copilot in Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, and Chat stays under the fixed license.
A procurement team that cannot see a number on four of eight platforms now also watches the one vendor that publishes numbers turn its own entry point into a variable on a default nobody chose.
The narrow conclusion is not that anyone is hiding anything, but that there is no common unit to compare them with, meaning the true cost of an enterprise agent remains something discovered after the contract is signed.
