The automation software sector broadly continues to benefit from surging enterprise demand as AI and machine learning enable automation that has moved well beyond simple one- or two-step workflows into more complex, mission-critical business processes.
Market conditions over the review period were shaped by shifting investor concerns, moving from questions about AI’s impact on software pricing power late in 2025 and early 2026 to geopolitical tensions, including the U.S. conflict with Iran, before attention returned to company fundamentals.
Energy markets remained orderly despite geopolitical tensions, allowing investors to refocus quickly on earnings results and underlying business performance across the technology sector.
