Vice President JD Vance took to TikTok Thursday with a rapid-fire video captioned “Thoughts,” delivering blunt one-word verdicts on prominent political figures across the spectrum.
The 30-second video showed names flashing across the screen, prompting Vance to offer unfiltered assessments ranging from sharply complimentary to openly dismissive.
Vance reserved some of his harshest labels for far-left Democrats, calling Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez a “communist” and New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani “crazy.”
Sen. Jon Ossoff of Georgia fared no better, earning the descriptor “lame” from the vice president without any apparent hesitation.
Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer was branded “cranky,” while Michigan Democratic Senate nominee Abdul El-Sayed was characterized simply as “odd.”
The most cutting dismissal of the video was reserved for Sen. Adam Schiff of California, whom Vance described as “irrelevant,” adding bluntly, “I mean, nothing.”
Democratic Socialists of America leader Megan Romer prompted a different response entirely, with Vance offering only, “No comment,” before the video cut to a SpongeBob-style title card reading “two minutes later.”
The vice president struck a noticeably warmer tone when Trump administration officials appeared, calling outgoing White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt “awesome” and deputy chief of staff Stephen Miller “hardcore.”
White House chief of staff Susie Wiles was described as “tough,” Secretary of State Marco Rubio as “funny,” and House Speaker Mike Johnson as “kind,” while Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. received the label “interesting.”
President Donald Trump earned the most generous assessment of all, with Vance describing his boss simply as “generous.”
The video quickly accumulated more than 70,000 views, offering a rare lighter window into Vance’s relationships with administration colleagues while giving him a platform to take pointed shots at prominent Democrats.
Fox News Digital reached out to Vance’s office, named Democrats, and administration officials featured in the video for additional comment and context.
