Palantir Technologies (NASDAQ: PLTR) remains one of the most hotly debated stocks on Wall Street, with bulls and bears staking out sharply opposing positions on its long-term prospects.

The company’s proprietary AI-infused decision-making framework, dubbed Ontology, is seen by supporters as having no real competition, driving blistering sales growth that few technology firms can match.

Skeptics, however, argue that the stock’s valuation is simply unsustainable, pointing to a roughly 35% decline from its peak in early November 2025 as evidence that a correction was overdue.

Despite that pullback, Palantir surged more than 3,000% between early 2023 and late 2025, a run fueled almost entirely by surging enterprise and government demand for its artificial intelligence platforms.

The company has a long history of building AI systems for U.S. intelligence, military, and law enforcement agencies, and it has since adapted those tools for use across commercial enterprises.

Its Ontology system works by mapping AI capabilities across a company’s siloed data and physical operations, compiling the information into a knowledge graph that provides near-real-time business solutions.

Palantir’s Artificial Intelligence Platform, known as AIP, gives managers actionable insights drawn directly from their organization’s own data, enabling more informed and faster critical decisions.

In the first quarter of 2026, Palantir reported revenue of $1.63 billion, representing growth of 85% year over year and 16% quarter over quarter, marking the company’s highest-ever annual growth rate.

The company has guided for full fiscal year 2026 revenue of $7.66 billion at the midpoint of its outlook, which would represent year-over-year growth of approximately 71%.

Wall Street’s consensus estimate for 2027 revenue stands at $11.22 billion, implying growth of around 46% from projected 2026 levels.

Palantir’s net profit margin currently sits at approximately 53%, and if that figure holds steady through the end of 2027, net income could reach roughly $5.95 billion based on the consensus revenue forecast.

Using a current share count of 2.57 billion, that scenario would translate to earnings per share of approximately $2.31 for the 2027 fiscal year.

If the stock maintains its current valuation of 152 times earnings, the analysis projects a share price of $352, representing a gain of approximately 161% from current levels.

At that price, Palantir’s market capitalization would approach $904 billion, placing it among the most valuable publicly traded technology companies in the world.
