The Meles regime has been abusing the anti terrorism policy of the United States to terrorize it’s own people! Killing people who are under custody is in itself terrorism! The Obama administration should work with freedom loving opposition groups who had mAssive grassroot support! Because tyrants with out grass root support are bound to fall!

We know very well that you are a mercenery journalist for the dictatorial regime of the PARANOID SCHIZOPHRENIC president of Eritrea.

Would you please stop parrotting in the undignified service of a ruthless dictator who relentlessly suffocates his own people and deny them Liberty, Freedom of Life and the Pursuit of happiness!

If you do have a dignified consience and care for the ordinary citizen:
Why is that you do not demand the full implementation of the 1997 ratified Eritrean constitution?
Why don’t you demand the establishment of the rule of law in Eritrea?
Why don’t you demand the release of the veteran fighters-cum-politicians & comrades-in-arms of the ruthless dictator? And if they have committed a crime, still a big if, that they get a hearing before the courts?
Why is the free press shut down in Eritrea? Why don’t you demand the release of the free press journalists still languishing for no reason in jails in Eritrea?
Why is Eritrea’s only higher learning institution, the Asmara Univ., still closed?
Why is there in Eritrea a slave camp for the youth who toil for free in the name of national military service?
Why are young people fleeing the country in thousand months after months to neighbouring countries and as far as north to Egypt, Malta, Cyprus, Libya, Israel, the Gaza Strip, and Europe bound?

In fact, you are NOT an Eritrean but a renegade US citizen with no future perspective and hope to earn a decent life! You sew seeds of hatred and animosity among black African countries!

What Delusional foot soldier are you — Apparently, you suffer from a non-curable Psychosis!!!

Eritrea has enemies and the President is defending and building his nation(what you called slave labor)
The US and its Western Puppets like UK etc don’t give a damn about democracy. In 2005 several million Ethiopian voters voted out the current dictator of Ethiopia but since he is the West’s SOB they kept him in power(Ethiopia can’t survive without foreign aid).Our ratified constitution can not be implemented while our soverign territory is under Ethiopia. The West don’t respect rule of law all the time. They do that only when it suits their purpose. Obama is a lawyer who has no respect for the rule of law. Otherwise he would not have sanctioned Eritrea for no reason. There is no proof that Eritrea supported al shebab etc but Obama does not care for the facts. Obama can’t have black folk who can take of their business without the Whiteman’s help. Pres. Obama can’t have a president in Eritrea who will build his country without the West’s permission. Obama does not want Eritrea to set a good example for other Africans. Eritrea has not done any malicious thing against the USA. Our only crime is believing in ourselves and rejecting US aid. I don’t think neither of these is a crime. If we need help we will ask for it. What is wrong with being a can-do African nation? Nothing.

Like the other few renaming westerners remaining in Asmara, I am continually disgusted by Mountain’s propaganda disguised as journalism. I look forward to the day when he is brought to justice for the crimes he has supported, along with the rest of the sorry regime. I will make it my personal mission to make sure he is.

Rarely one encounter a person who have published so much outrageous articles filled with lies and exaggeration a mire reading of the name will immediately creates suspicion. In most cases you will completely ignore the article written by this type of people. The unforgettable name of Thomas C. Mountain is one of thous people. Even we who oppose the Ethiopian government have a hard time believing his stories. Let me be frank and say I am no fun of the Eritrean regime which he is a hired mouth. I just wonder why the Eritrean regime will pay for this man, which has lost any credibility.

i dont think the point was about anybody’s dictatorship, it was about the bombings and who did them.
there may be different claims but it is important to look at every angle to know the truth.

well, i absolutely believe that this was the work of Meles and he is to blame for his action and he will ultimately pay for it. He has always been terrorizing his own people and clinging to power to keep sections of his thugs in power…Trust me Ethiopia will rise to dignity without these thugs on our back.
Their days are numbered they can cheat, harass and extort money for the rest of their lives..Ethiopia weeps for their excruciating, stifling, worst ever rule in the world

Where were you up to now? This has been in the news for over two months and you are reporting it were a new incident. Anyways, thank you very much for your belated report. Perhaps the Obama administration will realize that it is working an unreliable and discredited ally, Mr Zenawi. The US should turn its face to the people of Ethiopia. Ignoring the human
rights violations in Ethiopia because of Zenawi’s help in war on terror does not serve the US interest in the long-run.
