DraftKings Sportsbook and Delta Air Lines have announced a new partnership introducing SkyPicks, a complimentary in-flight sports prediction contest available to eligible passengers on domestic, Wi-Fi-equipped flights across the United States.

The program, which launched on Wednesday, July 29, allows Delta SkyMiles Members aged 21 and older to submit sports predictions and compete for Delta gift cards. The contest involves no wagering, deposits, entry fees, or use of miles, and carries no financial risk to participants.

Passengers can access SkyPicks through Delta’s onboard Wi-Fi service using personal devices, including smartphones, laptops, or tablets; the contest is not available through seatback entertainment systems. To participate, users must sign in with an existing DraftKings account or register for a new one.

The contest launched with Major League Baseball matchups, with National Football League contests expected to be added later this year. Each daily contest presents participants with a series of questions, such as which team will score first, which team will win, and a tiebreaking final score prediction. Participants who respond are placed on a leaderboard, with top performers earning the chance to win Delta gift cards redeemable toward future travel.

Jeremy Elbaum, Chief Commercial Officer at DraftKings, said the company views the partnership as an extension of fan engagement beyond the game itself. “Collaborating with Delta gives us the opportunity to reimagine what sports engagement can look like while traveling, bringing innovative ways for fans to stay connected to the games they love — even when they’re in the air,” Elbaum said in a statement.

Ranjan Goswami, Delta’s Chief Marketing and Product Officer, echoed that sentiment, noting that sports remain a significant interest among the airline’s customer base. “SkyPicks brings that passion onboard in a fun, free-to-play way, giving SkyMiles Members another way to engage with the games and conversations they love while they fly,” Goswami said.

The initiative builds on Delta’s existing in-flight entertainment offerings, which include live sports broadcasts and related programming. Industry observers suggest the airline may use SkyPicks as a foundation for further integration of prediction-based sports content into its in-flight offerings going forward.
