Lightbridge Corporation (NASDAQ: LTBR), an advanced nuclear fuel technology company based in Reston, Virginia, has been added to the Solactive Global Uranium & Nuclear Components Total Return Index.

The inclusion takes effect at the open of trading on Monday, August 3, 2026, following an ordinary index adjustment announced by Solactive AG on July 27, 2026.

The Solactive index serves as the benchmark tracked by the Global X Uranium ETF (NYSE Arca: URA), one of the largest exchange-traded funds offering dedicated exposure to the uranium and nuclear sector.

The index tracks companies across the full nuclear fuel cycle, spanning uranium mining and exploration, conversion and enrichment, nuclear component manufacturing, and reactor and fuel technology development.

Existing constituents include Cameco Corporation, Kazatomprom, BHP Group, NexGen Energy, Centrus Energy, Oklo Inc., NuScale Power, and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, placing Lightbridge in a high-profile peer group.

Lightbridge’s addition means investors can gain exposure to the company through existing passive sector allocations rather than seeking it out independently on the open market.

Seth Grae, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Lightbridge, commented on the significance of the milestone for the company’s investor visibility and strategic positioning.

“Inclusion in this benchmark places Lightbridge among reactor developers and companies that define the global nuclear fuel cycle, from uranium producers to enrichers,” said Grae.

“That is the right peer set for a company whose work sits at the center of that cycle: the fuel itself,” Grae continued, adding that investors can now access Lightbridge through their existing sector allocations.

Solactive AG, headquartered in Frankfurt, Germany, is an independent index provider whose benchmarks underpin exchange-traded funds and other investment products across global markets.

Index composition is determined solely by Solactive under its published, rules-based methodology, meaning inclusion reflects the company meeting defined sector and eligibility criteria.

Lightbridge is focused on developing Lightbridge Fuel, a proprietary next-generation nuclear fuel technology designed for existing light-water and pressurized heavy-water reactors, targeting improvements in safety, economics, and proliferation resistance.

The company has entered into two long-term framework agreements with Battelle Energy Alliance, LLC, the U.S. Department of Energy’s operating contractor for Idaho National Laboratory.

DOE’s Gateway for Accelerated Innovation in Nuclear program has twice awarded Lightbridge funding to support the development of its fuel technology over recent years.

Lightbridge is also included in the Russell 2000 and Russell 3000 Indexes, further broadening its reach among institutional investors tracking small and mid-cap benchmarks.
