Ingram Micro (NYSE: INGM) has announced its entry into the Oracle Cloud Distribution Program, aiming to broaden access to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure in Australia.
The partnership will allow Ingram Micro to expand OCI offerings to small and midsize businesses through its established Australian partner ecosystem.
Oracle’s Cloud Distribution Program is a regional initiative designed to strengthen partnerships with country-specific distributors and push OCI into new and existing markets.
Distribution partners under the program are members of Oracle PartnerNetwork, a global framework providing technical training, marketing resources, and commercial incentives to accelerate growth.
Hope McGarry, vice president and chief country executive for Australia at Ingram Micro, expressed strong confidence in the deal’s potential across multiple technology segments.
“We see significant opportunity across cloud, data, and AI, while also giving our partners access to Oracle’s broader technology portfolio,” said McGarry.
McGarry added that the arrangement is designed to simplify access for channel partners: “Our role is to make Oracle’s capabilities easier to access, adopt, and scale across the Australian channel.”
Stephen Bovis, regional managing director for Australia and New Zealand at Oracle (NYSE: ORCL), said demand for cloud and AI services among Australian organizations is driving the collaboration.
“By working with Ingram Micro, we are extending access to OCI through one of Australia’s largest technology partner ecosystems,” said Bovis.
Ingram Micro plans to deploy dedicated sales and technical resources, partner recruitment programs, and demand generation activities to support the rollout across Australia’s channel ecosystem.
The company will also leverage its AI-powered Xvantage platform to help partners discover, manage, and develop Oracle opportunities throughout the customer lifecycle.
Kaaren Lewis, director of Advanced Solutions, Cloud, Cybersecurity and AI at Ingram Micro, emphasized that the scope of the relationship extends well beyond cloud infrastructure alone.
“Oracle offers capabilities across cloud infrastructure, AI, data, databases, applications, and enterprise technology,” said Lewis, pointing to Oracle’s multicloud approach as a key differentiator for partners.
Lewis said Ingram Micro will pair Oracle’s technology with its own specialist expertise and go-to-market support to help partners build new customer opportunities across the broader Oracle portfolio.
