Oklo (NYSE: OKLO) shares climbed 3.25% in premarket trading after the company announced a Letter of Intent with Centrus Energy (NYSE: LEU) to supply domestic nuclear fuel.

Under the agreement, Centrus will supply enough high-assay low-enriched uranium to power up to five Oklo Aurora powerhouses for multiple years, with deliveries beginning in 2029.

The fuel will be produced at Centrus’s American Centrifuge Plant in Pike County, Ohio, directly supporting Oklo’s planned 1.2 GW Clean Energy Campus in the same region.

Centrus Energy shares surged 8.36% on the news, reflecting strong investor enthusiasm for the expanding domestic nuclear fuel supply chain.

The LOI anticipates a further definitive contract and could include prepayments from Oklo to Centrus, mirroring the structure Oklo used in its January 2026 agreement with Meta (NASDAQ: META).

Centrus is leveraging a previously announced $900 million HALEU task order from the U.S. Department of Energy alongside private capital to fund the required production expansion.

Access to domestically sourced HALEU has been one of the central constraints facing advanced nuclear deployment in the United States, making this agreement strategically significant.

The Ohio campus is expected to require over 700 full-time construction employees across sequential unit deployments, with each Aurora powerhouse supporting 40 to 50 permanent jobs.

Centrus’s own Pike County expansion is projected to create 1,000 construction jobs and 300 operating jobs in Ohio, adding meaningful economic weight to the partnership.

Oklo also signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Kiewit Nuclear Solutions for engineering, procurement, and construction planning tied to the initial Aurora powerhouse deployments.

The dual announcements signal growing momentum behind Oklo’s commercial nuclear ambitions, with domestic fuel supply and construction planning now both advancing concurrently.

Together, the Centrus fuel deal and the Kiewit MOU represent a significant step toward making the Ohio gigawatt-scale campus a tangible near-term reality rather than a long-range aspiration.
