Walmart Inc. (NYSE: WMT) has announced it has reached 150 Dunkin’ restaurants operating inside its stores, marking a significant milestone in the two brands’ growing partnership.
The 150th location opened at the Walmart store in Oakwood, Georgia, at 3875 Mundy Mill Road, and will be operated by Dunkin’ franchisee Everyday Coffee, led by Christopher Mellgren.
Walmart has long positioned its stores as one-stop destinations, where customers can fill prescriptions, buy groceries, pick up online orders, and handle dozens of other errands in a single visit.
The Dunkin’ expansion fits squarely into that strategy, giving shoppers yet another reason to choose a Walmart trip over visiting multiple separate retailers or services.
Kieran Shanahan, Executive VP and Chief Operating Officer for Walmart US, framed the partnership in terms of customer convenience and time savings for busy households.
“Customers love coming to Walmart to get more done in one trip,” said Shanahan. “Dunkin’ gives them another way to do that, whether it’s coffee before work, a quick bite between errands or a treat while doing the weekly shopping.”
Shanahan added that the partnership delivers a practical benefit: “It’s a simple way to save customers an extra stop and put time back in their day.”
Scott Murphy, Dunkin’ Brand President and Inspire Chief Brand Officer, also highlighted the shared values underpinning the relationship between the two companies.
“Reaching 150 Walmart locations is an exciting milestone for Dunkin’ and a testament to the strength of our relationship with Walmart,” said Murphy. “Both brands are deeply focused on convenience and value, and together we’re able to serve guests in a way that complements how they live, shop and work.”
The company announcement described the collaboration as one of retail’s standout partnerships, noting that “what began as Dunkin’ franchisees bringing bold beverages and breakfast to Walmart stores has grown into one of retail’s most energizing relationships.”
The Dunkin’ rollout comes as Walmart pursues a broader push across faster delivery, store remodels, marketplace expansion, private label brands, and expanded in-store services.
Both Walmart and Dunkin’ confirmed they are actively seeking opportunities to open additional Dunkin’ restaurants inside Walmart stores across new markets.
Walmart serves approximately 270 million customers and members each week across more than 10,750 stores and numerous eCommerce websites in 19 countries.
