Novo Nordisk A/S (NYSE: NVO) has disclosed its latest share repurchase activity, covering transactions made between May 26 and May 29, 2026, under its ongoing buyback programme.
The company initiated the current repurchase programme on May 6, 2026, in accordance with Article 5 of Regulation No 596/2014 of the European Parliament and Council and the Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2016/1052, known as the Safe Harbour Rules.
The programme forms part of an overall share repurchase initiative valued at up to DKK 15 billion, set to run across a 12-month period beginning February 4, 2026.
Under the May 6 programme, Novo Nordisk is authorized to repurchase B shares worth up to DKK 11,200,000,010.45 between May 6, 2026, and February 1, 2027.
During the four trading days covered by the latest announcement, Novo Nordisk repurchased a combined 840,151 B shares across transactions on May 26, 27, 28, and 29, 2026.
Average purchase prices across those sessions ranged from DKK 286.16 on May 27 to DKK 293.42 on May 29, reflecting moderate price variation over the period.
The total transaction value recorded across those four days amounted to approximately DKK 242.7 million, bringing the accumulated total under the programme to DKK 913,270,696.
As of May 29, 2026, Novo Nordisk has repurchased a total of 17,889,179 B shares since February 4, 2026, at an average price of DKK 263.47 per share, equal to a total transaction value of DKK 4,713,270,686.
Novo Nordisk now holds 35,074,480 B shares as treasury shares, representing approximately 0.8% of the company’s total share capital of 4,465,000,000 A and B shares combined.
