Mowi ASA (OB: MOWI), the global salmon farming giant, has reported a sharp rise in third quarter operational EBIT, with Group earnings climbing to 275 million euros from 112 million euros in the same period a year earlier.

The result marks a significant year-over-year improvement, reflecting stronger operational performance across the company’s core farming and processing divisions.

Operational EBIT in the Consumer Products segment contributed 45 million euros to the Group’s overall quarterly result, underscoring the division’s continued relevance to total earnings.

The Feed segment posted operational EBITDA of 34 million euros for the quarter, adding further weight to the company’s diversified business model.

Harvest volumes for the third quarter reached 186 thousand tonnes, up from 166 thousand tonnes reported in the same quarter of the prior year.

Mowi noted that the quarterly harvest volume figure represents an all-time high for any single quarter in the company’s history, a milestone that signals growing production capacity.

The record harvest output reflects sustained investment in farming operations and favorable biological conditions across the company’s key production regions.

Shares of Mowi ASA closed at 206.00 Norwegian Kroner on the Oslo Exchange ahead of the earnings announcement, with investors closely watching the company’s operational trajectory.

The full third quarter report is scheduled for release on November 4, when the company is expected to provide a comprehensive breakdown of costs, margins, and regional performance.

Analysts and investors will be paying particular attention to how rising harvest volumes translate into bottom-line profitability amid ongoing fluctuations in global salmon spot prices.

The combination of record volumes and a more than doubling of operational EBIT positions Mowi as one of the strongest performers in the global aquaculture sector heading into the final quarter of the year.
