SoFi Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ: SOFI) has announced a landmark multi-year partnership with Notre Dame Athletics, making it the department’s official financial services partner.

As part of the deal, SoFi will become the first brand ever to appear as a jersey patch on Fighting Irish uniforms across all 26 varsity sports programs.

The partnership centers on a new annual $1.4 million fund designed to support Notre Dame’s existing “4 for Forever” student-athlete development program.

The fund will expand access to scholarships, financial education, career development resources, and exclusive opportunities for student-athletes across the university’s full roster of varsity sports.

Anthony Noto, CEO of SoFi, said: “The grit, discipline, and determination of Notre Dame’s student-athletes reflect the same ambition we see in our members every day.”

Noto added: “We are proud to partner with Notre Dame Athletics to help inspire the next generation and create opportunities that will shape their financial futures.”

Pete Bevacqua, University of Notre Dame Vice President and James E. Rohr Director of Athletics, emphasized that the “4 for Forever” promise is “paramount to providing the best student-athlete experience in the country.”

Bevacqua said the partnership will “create lasting value for our student-athletes and their families for generations to come,” citing a shared commitment to developing ambitious leaders.

A key component of the deal is the SoFi Champions Scholarship, which will annually award one men’s and one women’s walk-on student-athlete a full one-year tuition scholarship.

Recipients will be selected based on qualities including ambition, resilience, leadership, and service, with nominations drawn from across Notre Dame’s athletic programs.

SoFi will also establish a Student-Athlete Financial Success Hub on campus, bringing financial education tools, planning resources, and personalized guidance directly to student-athletes.

The hub is intended to help athletes make smarter financial decisions during college and build stronger habits ahead of life after graduation, a need the partnership takes seriously.

According to a 2026 Lumina Foundation-Gallup report, one in three graduates say financial management skills are the top resource they wished they had access to during their college degree.

The agreement also includes a series of member-facing activations under the “SoFi Saturdays” banner, featuring ticket giveaways, tailgates, private events, and exclusive fan experiences throughout the athletic calendar.

SoFi’s logo will appear on game and practice uniforms for all 26 of Notre Dame’s varsity teams, giving the fintech brand unprecedented visibility across one of college athletics’ most recognizable programs.

Notre Dame Athletics has produced 39 national championships spanning more than a century of competition, and its student-athletes have ranked first or second among Football Bowl Subdivision schools in the NCAA’s Graduation Success Rate for 19 consecutive years.

SoFi Technologies currently serves 14.7 million members through its all-in-one digital financial services platform, which spans borrowing, saving, spending, investing, and crypto.
