Quick-thinking Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents in Wisconsin halted an active arrest operation on June 29 to respond to a nearby rollover crash in the Milwaukee area.

One officer heard the sound of a collision and immediately moved to investigate, contacting the rest of his team to call 911 and assist.

A car had run a stoplight at 20th Street and Cleveland Avenue, striking another vehicle and causing one car to roll into a light pole.

The crash pinned a 31-year-old woman inside the mangled vehicle, leaving her unable to free herself before ICE agents arrived on scene.

Working together, the agents extracted the woman from the wreckage and administered first aid while waiting for emergency medical technicians to arrive.

Exclusive images obtained by Fox News Digital showed agents attending to the woman and the heavily damaged vehicle, though the officers involved remained anonymous for their safety.

Acting Assistant DHS Secretary Lauren Bis praised the agents, saying their actions reflect the standard she expects from federal law enforcement personnel.

“Despite smears and hoaxes spread by sanctuary politicians and the media, our officers put their lives on the line to make our communities safer,” Bis said. “They are heroes.”

A DHS spokesperson also issued a statement following the incident, saying, “Our best of the best ICE officers put their lives on the line to arrest the worst of the worst.”

Bis further urged the public to recognize the contributions of ICE personnel, saying, “If you see an ICE law enforcement officer, thank them for all they do to protect our nation.”

The Wisconsin rescue is not an isolated example of ICE agents responding to civilian emergencies while on duty.

Earlier this year, an ICE agent performing airport assistance duties saved a choking child by performing the Heimlich maneuver, according to Fox News Digital.

In a separate incident, ICE Law Enforcement Officer Gregory Simmons leaped into a hotel pool in Pasco County, Florida, to rescue a drowning 6-year-old child, performing CPR to revive the unconscious child.

ICE agents have faced persistent criticism from detractors who have labeled the agency as “fascist” and “inhumane,” though these recent incidents have drawn renewed attention to officers acting beyond their enforcement duties.
