TenPay Global, Tencent Financial Technology’s cross-border payment platform, has launched a new “Remit to China for Non-Chinese Citizens” feature aimed at international users holding foreign passports.

The feature allows users to send remittances directly from their home country to China, offering greater flexibility and convenience for payment needs across the country.

TenPay Global’s platform connects the Weixin ecosystem with global remittance institutions, having partnered with over 60 major international banks and remittance institutions worldwide.

Partners currently include DBS, Panda Remit, LemFi, Remitly, Wise, Gmoneytrans, Hanpass, and GME, with the platform supporting remittances from over 100 countries and regions.

Services are available around the clock, with funds arriving within minutes and the platform maintaining a focus on security, compliance, and convenience for users.

Foreigners residing in China can receive remittances within the country using mobile numbers linked to their WeChat accounts, streamlining the entire process significantly.

Once funds are credited, international users can access a full suite of lifestyle services including online shopping, mobile top-ups, and utility bill payments directly within the platform.

These services are designed to meet the diverse payment needs of those working, studying, traveling, or living in China on a day-to-day basis.

Beyond remittances, TenPay Global has also upgraded Weixin Pay’s “Pay with Your Home E-Wallet” services through China’s unified cross-border QR-code gateway, broadening payment options for international visitors.

The company has partnered with over 40 overseas wallets globally, with 36 e-wallets from 13 countries and regions already live, including PayPal from the United States, LiquidPay and ChangiPay from Singapore, ZaloPay and MOMO from Vietnam, BCEL from Laos, and HiPay from Mongolia.

TenPay Global says it remains committed to connecting the Weixin ecosystem with global partners, continuously expanding the reach and service scenarios of cross-border payments to support international tourism and cultural exchange.

As Tencent’s dedicated cross-border payment platform, TenPay Global provides end-to-end payment solutions for cross-border remittances, consumption, and commerce, backed by a robust risk management framework and regulatory compliance infrastructure.
