Like the UK, it has profound dependence on America's markets, and is therefore a strict TOEterian, namely those who toe the line set by the US. I am amazed that the Iranians allow the embassy staff to show that sort of colonial attitude and get away with it. If I were in Ahmadinejads position I would declare the Canadians persona non grata, eject all their embasy staff, publicize theIr Jim Crow behavior, and tell the Canadians they shall have no embassy in Iran for the next century or so. Canadians, as with the rest of the Anglo-Saxons may feel aggrandized by having stolen a contintent from the indigenous people, but history has lessons for them to learn!
