@ Alex

Saddam Hussain wasn't poor, he was running a tyranny in a savage way. I am not sure you remember, but Iraqis were very happy when US military entered Iraq and Saddam and his soldiers were gone hiding.

We, world community should deal with dictators without exception and give the power to people to run their country in a democratic way.

This articles gives a very good analysis of the issue. Obama and Clinton are pursuing exactly the same old failed policies as Bush. The idea of "crippling sanctions" against Iran is pathetic. Iran is not Cuba. It has vast resources and a growing industry in a variety of fields. It export cars to Turkey and a number of other countries and is building a number of refineries that will make it a net exporter of refined oil products very soon. It also has extensive trade with numerous countries. If American companies cannot do business with Iran the Chinese and the Russians will get the business. So, the US is just shooting itself in the foot.

I'm sure china and russia are just gonna go along because we sat at the table but demanded the same things as bush. it will never work. Obama has to consider allowing the iranians to save face and allow them some sort of monitored enrichment on their soil. Sanction against iran will not work as they have 2 things. Oil and gas.

Great analysis. Media coverage of Iran has been so poor people are being mislead once again to believe there is an existential threat out there when there is none. The result will predictably be disastrous. The campaign to demonize Iran seems to be gaining momentum, I only hope rationality and factual analysis will prevail.

Another good report on Iran available here: http://www.cjpme.org/DisplayDocument.aspx?DocumentID=322&SaveMode=0

Palestinian Independent State

The problems of Palestinian subjugation to Israel occupation are the seeds for an unstable world including the Middle East. Many expect, as previously stated by Iran and many Arab counties, that they would not reject a reasonable break through between Washington and Israel over the Palestinians home state. However; many political analysts have suggested that any resolution about Palestinian state would be a non-starter with Israel. The success or failure of the administration of President Obama with Israel would determine the nature of future stability for the Middle East.

This foreign policy should ensure economic stimulus. We are ensuring the threat of terrorism so we can spend billions on security, foreign wars, and weapons of mass destruction. These are about the only products that we still manufacture in the U.S.
