This increasing general awareness and understanding towards the philosophy of human existence is the principle struggle against such manifestations; which is the key to understanding the truth that humankind centers on the creation of the universe, and the key to a return to the spiritual and moral values, and finally the inclination to worship God the Almighty. The international community must initiate collective moves to raise awareness in the afflicted societies where the ignorance of racism still prevails so as to bring to a halt the spread of these malicious manifestations.
Dear friends, today the human community is facing a kind of racism which has tarnished the image of humanity in the beginning of the third millennium. Now it is incumbent upon all intellectuals, thinkers, and policy makers in the world to carry out their historical responsibility with firm belief to this definite route, I also want to lay emphasis on the fact that the western liberalism and capitalism, like communism, has reached to its end since it has failed to perceive the truth of the world and human[kind] as it is. It has imposed its own goals and directions on human beings with no regard for human and divine values, justice, freedom, love, or brotherhood; has based the living on the intensive competition securing individual and collective material interests.
Now we must learn from the past by initiating collective efforts by dealing with present challenges, and in this connection and in closing my remarks I wish to draw your kind attention to two important points. One: It is absolutely possible to improve the existing situation in the world. However, it must be noted that it could only be achieved through the cooperation of all countries in order to get the best out of existing capacities and resources in the world. My participation in this conference is because of my conviction of these important issues, as well as to our common responsibility to defending the rights of nations vis-a-vis the sinister phenomenon of racism, and being with you, the thinkers of the world. Two: Mindful of the inefficacy of the current international political, economic, and security systems on the world scene, it is necessary to focus on the divine and humanitarian values and by referring to the true definition of human beings, and based upon justice and respect for the rights of all people in all parts of the world, and by acknowledging the past wrongdoings in the past dominant management of the world undertake collective measures to reform the existing structures. In this respect, it is crucially important to reform the structure of the Security Council, including the elimination of the discriminatory veto right … [applause] … and change the current world and financial monetary systems. Dear friends, be aware that to move in the direction of justice and human dignity is like the national rapid flow in the current of a river. I read the text of Ahmadinejad’s speech and found nothing in it that denies the Nazi -Jewish Holocaust. People are wilfully misinterpreting the part where he says the Zionists established Israel on the pretext of Jewish sufferings. Ahmadinejad is clearly saying that the Zionists used the Holocaust and Western guilt to push their particular agenda.
What Ahmadinejad and most others are not aware of is that during the 1930s the Zionist movement in Palestine continued to trade with Nazi Germany while American Jews were calling for a worldwide trade boycott against that country. In 1944 Adolf Eichmann proposed a deal (approved by Heinrich Himmler) with a Hungarian Jew Joel Brand in which 1 million Jews in Hungary could be saved if a home outside German-occupied territories could be found for them. Brand contacted the Jewish Agency which represented the Zionist movement. The Jewish Agency was not interested in accepting Jews who did not hold Zionist movements, the British government which ruled Palestine and held Brand prisoner during the period when he needed to complete the negotiations also objected and the deal fell through.

I do not see the love of god in this speech. I see thinly veiled hate and a collosal egotism. There is a lot of factual content and truth in this speech worth contemplating upon. He has highlighted key errors and double standards of the west. Being a westerner doesn’t mean we can’t criticise our ways. It is important that we do to learn from our mistakes and move forward otherwise we will be in the same depressing situation.
Racism (or whatever word you like to use) is a huge ugly monster in this world and to speak up against it is a good thing! If you remain silent you are as worse as the people who commit it as your silence encourages the behaviour. A world leader spoke up against it we should be taking our hat off to him.

I have to say I was impressed with the speech – from the media reports I thought it would be racist… and it wasn’t.
Seems to me a lot of the comments against the speech here have missed an important point. Really he is criticising the ruling global elite, this isn’t an attack on the west, the USA or Israel. He’s attacking the money men and their puppet governments. Don’t read this as an attack on you, instead look again at the frailties, fallacies and failings our western systems, look at how these systems just serve the interests of a tiny elite. They do this by exploiting you, me and especially those who don’t live in the west… and they do it only for their own ends. They don’t care about America or Britain, they don’t care about you, they care only about themselves and they count on us falling for their lies (via the media / patriotism / religious hatred) and sometimes we even end up defending them when they are accused of wrong doing – please don’t defend this group, they wouldn’t defend you. We should all be as angry as ahmadinejad appears to be, we’re the ones getting conned. I don’t like Iran’s record on human rights and more than you do, but purely in terms of what he has said here; he nailed it.

I highly commend Jeremy Hammond for his efforts in presenting the text of this speech by Ahmadinejad’s speech to the U.N. I also heartily agree with his assessments of certain comments in the remarks he posted afterward.
It is a real shame that the representatives of many Western nations walked out on what, in my estimation, was a fine speech. In doing so, they behaved like a bunch of elementary school children who pick up the ball and go home when they don’t get their ways. But you can be sure that all of these “children” know what was contained in the speech and certainly felt the sting of well-deserved criticism for their own actions and those of their predecessors.
That Ahmadinejad is demonized by what I call “The New World Order Crowd” comes as no surprise. Having their hands on the major economic, military, and monetary levers of power, they certainly will resist any competition to control that power. History is filled with examples of the lust for money (the root of all evil according to the Bible), and the lust for power to control others that comes with that money.
While I did not agree with all that Mr. Ahmadinejad said and proposed, I find most of his comments and observations right on target. I scored each comment of substance and out of scores of them only had question marks by eight or ten. The few remarks that I marked as disagreement were really on his methods of accomplishing the goals he proposed–that is, collective, international “governance” which would only make things worse with its coercive measures and repression of liberty.
Finally, some of the comments above were really amusing, showing the bias, prejudice, and yes, maybe even racism of their own. Mostly, however, I think they sprang from ignorance of history and first principles. Again, I gave 95 per cent of the comments positive marks with but a few disagreements.
That Zionism could be equated with “racism” and “Jewishness” by any stretch of the imagination simply shows the extreme bias and non-objectivity of the commenter. As Zionism itself is many centuries old and has been opposed by many, many Jews over the centuries, it really indicates a gross lack of historical perspective by those who blindly, and I think wrongly, give their allegiance, their resources, and even the lives of their sons and daughters, in defense of the modern political Israeli state (not Biblical Israel) created by the wrong-headed and corrupt United Nations in 1948. That any opposition to this political creation is viewed as “anti-Semitism” or “racial hatred” is just absurd. Those with such shallow minds take a deep breath and an in-depth course in Middle Eastern History.

Without question, many of his points are valid. The Israeli’s are not without their faults, and they have many. The world economic situation he describes, certainly rings true. However, he must be held accountable for his brutal repression of the protestors in his own country this past summer. Another Hitler? Absolutely not. A man and a situation requiring much diplomacy? Absolutely!
How easily some are fooled. That Ahmadinejad is feigning opposition to racism and imperialism to suck people in is obvious from the fact that he says the great third world national liberation struggles *preceded* World War I! In other words, this is Advertising copy aimed at IMITATING a left wing viewpoint, and his writers have so little interest in what they are fabricating that they can’t even bother to check the facts.
