“In Shanland: Hospital in a War Zone,” the latest video in the series In Shanland, shot in the war zone of Burma, by Antonio Garceffo is now available on YouTube.
The hospital at Loi Tailang is the only medical facility open to all ethnicities from Shan State. Brave local nurses and international medical volunteers work tirelessly, without equipment and without medicines, to save as many lives as they can. Every minute the medical staff work, they are exposed to attack and imprisonment by the Burmese government. Many of the translators and staff asked that their faces not be shown in the video. The Shan are one of Burma’s many ethnic minorities being subjected to genocide at the hands of heir own government.
